Alma P. Ceriani

Alma P. Ceriani of Quincy passed away at Southwood in Norwell on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at age 94. Born in Quincy, she was a lifelong resident and worked as a housekeeper at Quincy City Hospital for 40 years.

The daughter of the late Luigi and Rose (Caccia) Ceriani, Alma was the sister of the late Mary R. Gardiner and Celestina R. Sawtelle, dear aunt of David Gardiner of Quincy, Gail Alden of Halifax, Denise Craig of Weymouth and the late William Gardiner and is also survived by 5 grand nephews, 1 grand niece and several great grand nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 10 at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Family and friends are invited. On Wednesday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church, W. Quincy. Burial will be at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
