Claire E. (Delaney) Brids

Claire E. (Delaney) Brids passed away on June 13, 2022. The beloved daughter of the Late James and Catherine Delaney, she was raised in Quincy. She was the salutatorian of the QHS class of 1954. Claire was employed as an administrative secretary and office manager for Welch Healthcare and Retirement Group for 26 years, retiring in 2006.

She is survived by her son William Brids and his wife Diane as well as by her daughter Maureen Brids Peloquin and her husband Douglas. She was the loving grandmother of David Brids, Nicolette Brids and Caitlin Peloquin as well as great-grandmother of Oliver Bannon. She is also survived by her sister Eileen Delaney and was sister of the late Catherine Tocci, James Delaney, and Thomas Delaney. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Claire especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends.

Visiting hours will be on Thursday, June 16th from 9:00AM-10:30AM at Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St., Quincy Center with a service at 10:30AM in the funeral home, followed by a burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
