Marguerite C. (Toal) Della Barba

Marguerite “Peggy” C. (Toal) Della Barba of Quincy passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012 at age 87. A lifelong Quincy resident, she worked as a waitress for many years at the Egg & I Restaurant. An avid Red Sox fan, Peggy was gifted at knitting, crocheting and quilting, enjoyed occasional trips to Foxwoods and was always proud of her Irish heritage.

The beloved wife of Camillo J. “Carmie” Della Barba for 65 years, Peggy was the loving mother of Pamela M. Baffoni of Delaware and Robert F. Della Barba of Weymouth; dear grandmother of Melissa, Allison and Shannon; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 17 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Friday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Joseph’s Church 550 Washington St. Quincy. Burial is at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
