Ruth M. Hobden

Ruth M. Hobden, of Quincy, passed away at home on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at age 89. Born in Brookline, where she was raised and educated, she was an executive secretary at the Boston YMCA before her retirement. She lived at 1000 Southern Artery since 1987. The daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth (Goss) Hobden, Ruth was the sister of E. Arthur Hobden of Orlando, FL and the late Barbara Helland of CT and Kenneth Hobden of Hingham. The dear friend of the late William Bruinsma, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. There will be a visiting hour on Wednesday, September 16 from 9:00 to 10:30am at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center, immediately followed  by a Funeral Service. Family and friends are invited. Cremation will follow.
