William C. Jewett

William C. “Billy” Jewett of E. Weymouth passed away at South Shore Hospital on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at age 57. Born in Boston, he was raised and educated in Quincy and Weymouth, he lived in Weymouth for 33 years. A car salesman, he worked for South Shore Chrysler in Braintree for 30 years before retiring. A well-loved and loving man, his family was most important to him. He a true jokester who enjoyed Cape Cod, boating and fishing, though the fish usually got the best of him.

The beloved husband of Deborah A. (Connors) Jewett, Billy was the loving father of Lee Ann Drew and her husband Michael of Weymouth, William C. Jewett, Jr. of Weymouth, Beth Jewett and her husband Danny Melzard of Plymouth, Sgt. Christopher Jewett, USAF and his wife Yuna of Weymouth and the late Amy Marie Jewett and dear grandfather of Ryan Jewett,
Krysten Drew, Timothy and Taryn Jewett, Alex Melzard and Arianne Jewett. He was the brother of Elizabeth K. Elms and her husband Aubrey of Marlboro and the late Carl Jewett, brother-in-law of Nancy Connors of Weymouth and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 5 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Thursday there will be a Funeral Service at the funeral home 11:00am. Burial is at Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Quincy.
