Joseph D. Lupo of Quincy passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011 at age 55. Born in Hoboken, NJ, he was raised and educated in Quincy where he lived most of his life. A Vietnam Veteran, Joseph worked as a roofer for the Roofers Union, Local 33. The beloved son of John F. Lupo of Brockton and the late Mary “Fran” Lupo, he was the loving brother of Michael Lupo and his wife Christine of E. Longmeadow, John Lupo and his wife Lynn, Janice Lupo, Frank Lupo and his wife Dee, all of Quincy, and is also survived by his girlfriend Diane Kimball and ten nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 9 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Tuesday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Burial with Military Honors will be at 1:00pm at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne .
