Rose M. McDonald

Rose M. McDonald of Quincy passed away at John Adams Health Care Center on Monday. October 5, 2009 at age 88. Born in Dorchester where she was raised and educated, Rose lived in Quincy for 61 years. A homemaker, she was a former bookkeeper for SS Pierce.

The beloved wife of the late Edward F. McDonald, Rose was the loving mother of Edward P. McDonald and his wife Paula of Hingham, Patricia Foster and her husband John of Quincy and Maureen Hamilton and her husband Tom of Dorchester, dear grandmother of Marisa, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Stephen, Joseph and Paul and great grandmother of Denis, Billy, Emma and Jimmy.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 8 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Friday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church at 10:00am. Burial is in Blue Hill Cemete
