Carol A. (Mahoney) O'Mahony

Carol A. (Mahoney) O’Mahony of Quincy passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at age 48. Born in Dorchester, she was raised and educated in Quincy where she resided for 40 years. The wife of the late Michael O’Mahony, Carol was the loving mother of Joan M., Michael J. and Ann C. O’Mahony, all of Quincy; beloved grandmother of Owen Halpenny; beloved daughter of Joan Mahoney and the late William F. Mahoney; dear sister of Maureen Collins of Granger, IN, Jean Lawlor and Beth Murphy, both of Quincy, William Mahoney of Randolph and Kathleen Ferguson and Therese Carter, both of Windham, NH and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 19 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Thursday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Church 550 Washington St. Quincy. Burial will be at Pine Hill Cemetery.
