Chinweuba “Chuba” Ifeanyichukwu Onwunaka, age 6, of Quincy, passed away at Children’s Hospital in Boston on Thursday, October 8, 2009. Born in Boston, Chuba lived in Quincy all his life. A first grader at the Clifford Marshall School, he loved to sing and dance and amused everyone with his imitation of Tina Turner. The cherished son of Eugene and Stella (Egwumoh) Onwunaka, Chuba was the loving brother of Uchechukwu, Chidera and Ifeanyichukwu “Ifeanyi”, all of Quincy and is also survived by his grandmothers, Virginia Egwumoh and Mercy Onwunaka, both of Quincy; his Godmother Florence Nwofia of Tyler, TX, Auntie Ifeoma Chidebelu, Uncles Emmanuel Onwunaka and Tony Aniezue and cousins Jideofor & Chinelo Nwofia, Esther Onwunaka, Uzoamaka, Chukwudi & Chike Aniezue, Chidera, Chiamaka, Chidubem & Chukwubuike Chidebelu, all in the US and many other Aunties, Uncles and cousins outside the US. Visiting hours will be held at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center on Friday, October 23 from 6:00 to 10:30pm. Family and friends are invited. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Christ Church Episcopal, 12 Quincy Ave. on Saturday at 3:00pm. Cremation will follow. |
