Eileen (Keneavy) Ortiz

Eileen (Kineavy) Ortiz of Quincy passed away suddenly at Boston Medical Center surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 7, 2011. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Jamaica Plan High School and worked as a secretary for almost 40 years for the Commercial Union Insurance Company in Boston. She enjoyed trips to New Hampshire with her husband, and time spent with her sisters and friends. Eileen was an active supporter of animal rights.

Daughter of the late Thomas and Ann Kineavy, she was the devoted wife of the late Lawrence Ortiz., she was the beloved sister of Mary Cosgrove of Boston, Claire Maloney of Quincy, and Nancy Fabrizio of Quincy, and her late brothers Roger Kineavy, Thomas Kineavy and Francis Kineavy. Also survived by John Ortiz of Weymouth, Amelia (Ortiz) Stearns of Rockland, Henry Ortiz of Quincy, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours Sunday, Dec. 11 from 3:00 to 5:30PM with a Funeral Service immediately following at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm Street, Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. Interment will be private.
