Stephen E. Paulding of Quincy passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at age 55. Raised and educated in Whitman, he served in the Air Force for 13 years with the rank of Staff Sergeant, working as an Instructor in Technical Training and Aviation Mechanics and was the recipient of Air Force Achievement and Commendation Medals. After retiring from the military reserves, Stephen worked as a Rural Mail Carrier for the US Postal Service. The beloved husband of Laureen MacGillivray-Paulding, Stephen was the loving son of Valeda A. (Martin) Paulding of Whitman and the late Cornelius Paulding; devoted father of Robyn and Shannon Paulding of CO; dear grandfather of Mckayla and Julianna; beloved brother of Mary Plasse of Whitman, Michael Paulding of Whitman, Mark Paulding of Plymouth and Leo Paulding of Sandwich and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 4 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Friday there will be a Celebration of Stephen’s Life in the funeral home at 11:00AM. Burial is at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
