Marie (Caliri) Pino of Dedham, formerly of Quincy, passed away at the Hellenic Nursing Center in Canton on Friday, April 30, 2010 at the age of 94. A seamstress, she worked for Quincy Sportswear until age 72 and was a member of the Ladies Garment Workers’ Union. A resident of Quincy’s Adams Shore for much of her life, she was very social and loved to cook. The beloved wife of the late Anthony “Ray” Pino, Marie was the loving mother of Maria M. Chase of Hyde Park, Matilda DiRocco of Middleboro and the late John Pino; dear grandmother of Thomas Chase III, Denise Chase, Suzette Chase, Kevin LaChance, John LaChance and John Pino; great grandmother of Jonathan, Kelli, Daniel, Nicholas, Taylor, Elizabeth, Kendra, Joshua and Julianna and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 3 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Tuesday, there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at Holy Trinity Parish, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 227 Sea St. Quincy.
