Lawrence W. Post

Lawrence W. Post of Weymouth passed away on Friday, September 24, 2010 at age 90. Born in Quincy where he was raised and educated, he moved to Weymouth at age 44. Before retiring, Larry worked as a shipfitter at the Charlestown Navy Yard and Fore River Shipyard.

The beloved husband of the late Madolyn E. (Haupt) Post, Larry was the loving father of David Post and his wife Martha of Weymouth, dear brother of Peter Post of Abington and Gertrude Goodrich, Ralph Post and Raymond Post, all of Quincy and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 26 from 2:00 to 6:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Monday at 11:00am there will be a Funeral Service at the Funeral Home with Dr. Sheldon Bennett presiding. Cremation will follow.
