Sarah M. (Fix) Notrangelo of Quincy peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the age of 93. Born and raised in Parnassus, VA on a farm overlooking the Shenandoah Valley. She believed every child should experience life on the farm. After retiring from Raytheon as a supervisor she was an avid reader, especially true crimes and biographies; enjoyed the challenge of a level 5 Sudoku game, as well as practicing line and tap dancing into her 80’s. The beloved wife of the late Egnazio “Nazie” Notrangelo, Sarah was the last of 17 children; loving mother of Sandra Delaney of Weymouth and Gail Notrangelo of Quincy; dear grandmother of James Delaney and his wife Sandra of Rockland and Matthew Delaney of San Francisco; and great grandmother of Kellie and Emily Delaney of Rockland. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews in VA, MD, and MA. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 28 from 2:00 to 6:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Monday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy.
