Karen (O’Brien) Roche of Randolph passed away at Brigham & Women’s Hospital on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the age of 45. A resident of Randolph for 2 years, she grew up in Quincy and lived there most of her life. A homemaker, her family was the center of her life and she enjoyed cooking, needlepoint and arts and crafts. The beloved wife of James S. Roche, Karen was the loving mother of Patricia Roche and Alicia Roche, both of Quincy, dear sister of John O’Brien, Lorretta O’Brien and Francis L. Phelan III, all of Quincy, Patricia St. Martin of Abington and the late Veronica O’Brien. She was the loving “Armi” of Evan St. Martin and is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 13 from 2:00 to 6:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Monday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in Karen’s memory may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Research Institute, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02215 dana-farber.org. |
