Robert F. Smollett

Robert F. “Bob” Smollett of Rockland passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at age 73. Born in Quincy where he was raised and educated, he lived here most of his life before moving to Rockland 10 years ago. A real estate agent, Bob enjoyed winters in Florida, was an avid golfer and a devoted member of the Quincy Lodge of Elks.

The beloved husband of the late Joan M. (Crooker) Smollett, Bob was the loving father of Robert F. Smollett, Jr. of Weymouth, Lori Egerton of Abington, Frank Smollett of Woonsocket, RI, Brian Smollett of Flagler Beach, FL, Kathryn Deligloia of Brockton and the late Paul Smollett; devoted Papa of Renee, Shannon, Candice, Samantha, Racheal, Frank, John, Jr., Paul and Dylan; dear brother of Peter Bertrand and his wife Donna of Quincy and Jean Camillieri of Plymouth and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 24 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Wednesday there will be a Funeral Service at the funeral home at 10:00am. Cremation will follow.
