Mary Ann (Evans) Villard

Mary Ann (Evans) Villard of Quincy passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at age 81. Born in Canton, OH, she received her BEd from Duquesne University and her MS at University of Pittsburg. She spent 50 years serving children as a school teacher, supervisor and child care specialist of emotionally disturbed children in Cleveland and Boston and as founder and director of the Christian Child Learning Center in Quincy.

The beloved wife of the late Francis E. Villard, Mary Ann was the sister of Br. Mark Evans, OSB of VA, David E. Evans of IN, and Claire and Elizabeth Evans of OH; sister-in-law of Anne Connell of Dorchester and Vincent Villard of Quincy.

A visiting hour will be held on Wednesday, September 18 starting at 9:00AM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at St. Bernadette’s Church 1026 N. Main St. Randolph. Family and friends are invited. Burial is at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Boston.

Donations in Mary Ann’s memory may be made to St. Bernadette’s Church.
