Josephine “Penna” (Bonani) Thibodeau of Quincy passed away at Quincy Medical Center on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at age 94. A lifelong Quincy resident, she had worked as a waitress for 32 years, first at Al’s Drive-In on Quincy Avenue, which was owned by her sister Ella and brother -in-law, Al, and later at Montilio’s Bakery. The beloved wife of the late Wilfred P. Thibodeau, Penna was the loving mother of Janice Cronin and her husband Michael of Rockland, Sharyn Raymondi and her husband Daniel, former Quincy Ward 2 City Councilor, and the late James E. Thibodeau. She was the dear sister of the late Ida Nutter, Lucille Luck, Anna McCarthy, Rose Ramskiwiz, Ella May Monson, John, Arthur, Alfred and Henry Bonani and is also survived by her Godchild, Rose Marie Knickles, her niece Earlene Beauregard and many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy on Friday, October 21 at 9:00AM. Family and friends are invited. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visiting hours are omitted. |
