Ann E. (Lynch) Widman

Ann E. (Lynch) Widman of Quincy passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at age 88. Born in Boston she graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School and Burdett College. She moved to Quincy in 1952 and worked for Federal Reserve Bank, New England Telephone, Verizon, and as a paraprofessional at Snug Harbor School in Quincy, where she was fondly known as “Miss Ann”. A member of the Telephone Pioneers, she enjoyed reading, travel and playing cribbage.

The beloved mother of Mark Widman of Santa Cruz, CA and Stephen Widman of New York City, Ann was the sister of the late Patrick Lynch, Theresa Comeau and Eileen Smith; aunt of Joanne, Barbara, Gerald and Paul; and is also survived by many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews and close friends whom she held near and dear.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 15 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Saturday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Church 40 Darrow St, Quincy. Burial is at Pine Hill Cemetery.
