Ronald P. Gibson

Ronald P. Gibson of Quincy passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday April 13, 2014 at the age of 80. He was born in Boston and raised and educated in Quincy and has lived in the City all his life.  Ronald was an Electronic Engineer for 28 years with GTE in Needham. As a United States Army Veteran, he served his country proudly during the Korean War. The beloved husband of Ann P.(Johnson) Gibson, Ronald was the loving father of Michael D. of Quincy, Patricia A. Fitzgerald of Charlton, MA and the late Mary F. Gibson; dear grandfather of Michael and Matthew Gibson, Catherine Fitzgerald and Patrick Fitzgerald. Loving brother of Charlene Langton of Hull.  Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday April 15, from 4:00 to 8:00PM in the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm Street, Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Wednesday there will be a gathering in the funeral home at 10:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Church 556 Washington Street, Quincy Point. Burial will follow with full military honors at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Quincy. Donations in his memory may be made to the Home for Little Wanderers, 161 South Huntington Ave. Boston Ma. 02130
