Raymond J. McGillivray

Raymond J. McGillivray, in Quincy, passed on June 20, 2014, age 81, formerly of Dorchester. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis T. (McEvoy) McGillivray. Son of the late Alexander and Margaret A. McGillivray. Loving father of Andrew L. Whitman Fire Dept. and his wife Susan of Weymouth, Scott F. and His wife Debbie of Charlotte, N.C., Glenn D. Lt. Boston Fire Dept. E-42 and his wife Rebecca of Quincy, the late Paul J. late Boston E.M.S. of West Peabody, and Karen A McGillivray of Dorchester. Father-in-law of Ines McGillivray – Chambers of West Peabody. Brother of Mary Fries of Whitman, the late John of Dorchester, Joseph of Rockland, Frances Hogan of Quincy, and Margaret McGillivray of Whitman. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 23, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm St., Quincy Center. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Church, Dorchester, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
