A. Ruth (Maxwell) Choquette

A. Ruth Choquette of Quincy passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at age 93. Born in Meshoppen, PA where she was raised, she was an Army nurse and WWII Veteran. She received nurse’s hospital training in Binghamton, NY and until her retirement worked as a registered nurse at Quincy City Hospital and later for the Federal Government in Boston. A 60-year resident of Quincy, Ruth was a parishioner of St. Ann’s Church. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul R. Choquette, loving mother of Andrew R. Choquette of Rensselaer, NY, Gerald A. Choquette of Merritt Island, FL and Paula M. Choquette of Quincy; dear grandmother of Kristin, Donna, Joseph, Michael and Kaela and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday March 1 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Monday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Ann’s Church 757 Hancock St. Quincy. Burial is at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
