Arthur F. “Bud” Turner of Quincy passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at age 81. Born in South Boston where he lived for 36 years, he lived in Brockton for 8 years and in Quincy for the past 38 years. A Veteran of Korea and Vietnam, US Navy, Bud was a longtime sheet metal worker for the MBTA, retiring in 1996. A history buff, he read voraciously, took college courses and kept up with the news. He loved the outdoors, boating and swimming and worked most days in his yard. The beloved husband of Anna (Buccini) Turner, Buddy was the loving father of Daniel J. Turner of Quincy, Arthur F. Turner and his wife Stephanie of Attleboro, and Christine Crowder of WI; brother of Lawrence Turner of FL, Dorothy Turner, Dolores Turner of Reno and the late Joe and Donald Turner; and is also survived by 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 2 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Friday there will be a Funeral Service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00AM. Burial is at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
