Dorothy M. (MacDonald) Wright of Quincy passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at age 87. Raised and educated in Jamaica Plain, she lived there and in Revere for most of her life, moving to Quincy 7 years ago and worked as a health aide. The beloved wife of the late Bernard T. Wright, Dorothy was the loving mother of William Wright of Lansing, MI and Mary T. Boylen of Quincy and their respective spouses; dear grandmother of A. Joseph Wright, William E. Wright, II, Michael Donnelly-Boylen, Kevin Boylen, Daniel Boylen, Tammy E. House; sister of Ruth Hudson of Avon, Rita Currie of Braintree, Irene (Chickie) Cappello of Wareham, Anne Pittman of Falmouth and the late Jeanette Buckley, Mildred Davey and William, Helen Wyatt and Arthur MacDonald; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dorothy taught many a good card game. Her life was built around family and she will be missed by all who knew her. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, January 6 from 2:00 to 6:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Monday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Church 386 Hancock St. N. Quincy. Burial is at Evergreen Cemetery, Kingston.
