Ambrose C. Powers

Ambrose C. Powers, a longtime resident of West Quincy passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at age 89. Born in Quincy, he was raised and educated in Braintree and lived for the past two years at Linden Ponds in Hingham. A Veteran of WWII, US Coast Guard, Ambrose worked as an Industrial Safety Inspector for the State of MA and was a member of the Cyril P. Morrisette Post. The loving husband of the late Daphne (McConnell) Powers and the late Barbara F. (O’Neil) Powers, he was the beloved father of Carol M. Broccoli and her husband Anthony of North Brunswick, NJ, Lori Ann Powers of Weymouth and Kathy E. Melchin and her husband William of Middleboro and dear grandfather of Matthew and Mark.

Family and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass on Monday, May 23 at 9:00AM at St. Mary’s Church 115 Crescent St. W. Quincy. Burial with Military Honors is at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visiting hours are omitted.
