Alexander Mitchelson

Alexander Mitchelson of Wilmington, formerly of Quincy, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at age 96. Born in Broughty Ferry, Scotland, he came to America at an early age and lived in Quincy for most of his life. A WWII Veteran, US Navy, he worked as a ship fitter at the Fore River Shipyard. The loving husband of the late Agnes L. (Kay) Mitchelson, Alexander was the beloved father of Marjorie M. Wiley and her husband Stephen of Concord, NC and Christine Mitchelson of Stoneham; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Friday, May 26 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Saturday there will be a Funeral Service at 10:00AM at Quincy Point Congregational Church 444 Washington St. Quincy. Burial with Military Honors is at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
