Catherine T. (Clancy) Martin

Catherine T. (Clancy) Martin of Quincy passed away with her family at her side on Friday, September 22, 2017 at age 47. Originally from Roslindale, where she was raised and educated, she lived in Quincy since 2010. Dedicated to helping the mentally challenged, she worked for many years as an administrator for Vinfen.

Cathy was an amazing daughter, wife, mother and sister. She was the beloved daughter of Bridget “Bridie” (Lydon) Clancy of Norwood and the late Lawrence Clancy; loving wife of Jason E. Martin of Quincy; devoted mother of Jayson Clancy and Joseph Martin of Quincy; cherished sister of Karen Barron and her husband Robert of Norwood, Christine Butler and her husband Scott of Quincy and Maureen Derle of Norwood; daughter-in-law of Stella Izzo of Quincy and the late Paul Martin; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Wednesday, September 27 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy. On Thursday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 8:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St Denis Church 157 Washington St, Westwood. Burial is at Westwood Cemetery.
