Joseph Kerr, Jr.

Joseph Kerr, Jr. of Weymouth, formerly of Quincy, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at age 87. Born in Kulpmont, PA where he was raised and educated, he was Korean War Veteran in the US Air Force. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in chemical engineering at Bucknell University and worked for Merck and Raytheon and then as a systems analyst for the MA Department of Education before retiring. He was an active parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Quincy. The beloved husband of Helen M. (Okronglis) Kerr, Joseph was the loving father of Michelle Kerr of Waltham and David Kerr of Sharon; father-in-law of Michelle Kerr of Sharon; and dear grandfather of Brian and Devin and is also survived by his niece, Janice Kerr.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on December 28th at 10:00AM at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Burial with Military Honors is at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45PM. Visiting hours are omitted.
