Eleanor I. (Healey) Slattery

Eleanor I. “Mitzi” (Healey) Slattery of Stoughton passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at age 90. Born in South Boston where she was raised and educated. Mitzi worked for many years as a medical assistant for Dr. Casper in Brockton. After spending several enjoyable years in Tenant’s Harbor, ME, she moved to 1000 Southern Artery in Quincy where she enjoyed socializing with many old and new friends.

Mitzi was the loving mother of Paul V. Slattery, Jr. of Silver City, NM, Eleanor Hughes of Rockland, Mary L. Zanetti, EdD of Ludlow, John Slattery of Marshfield, Joan Coletti of Friendship, ME and the late Ann Slattery and Joyce DiPietro; predeceased by brothers, Robert, Edward, Paul and John Healey; former wife of the late Paul V. Slattery; and is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Wednesday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Church 550 Washington St. Quincy. Cremation will follow.
