Patricia A. (Curtin) Mahoney

Patricia A. (Curtin) Mahoney of Weymouth passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at age 92. Born in Quincy. She attended St. John’s of Quincy, St. Gregory’s of Dorchester and was a graduate of Regis College, Class of 1947 where she served as class president. She lived 48 years in Braintree, moving to Weymouth 14 years ago. A devoted wife and mother, Patricia was married for 65 years to her beloved husband, Paul A. Mahoney. She leaves her children, Pamela Fuhrman and her husband Peter of Bellingham, Paul Mahoney, Jr. and his wife Linda of Manalapan, NJ, Michele Morgan and her husband Kenneth of Manalapan, NJ, Christopher Mahoney and his wife Karen of Sylvania, OH, Patricia Collins and her husband Daniel of Dallas, TX, Marybeth Connors and her husband Michael of Londonderry, NH, Kellianne Murphy of Arlington and Kerry Motoviloff and her husband John of Madison, WI; as well as 29 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was the daughter of Thomas D. and Mary Curtin of Quincy, dear sister of Joan and Dr. Eugene Tyrrell of Braintree and the late Virginia Curtin and Joseph Curtin. She was an active parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi in Braintree and a practicing member of Birthright. Patricia was surrounded by her loving family when she passed, as she was throughout her life. 

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Monday, January 22 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Tuesday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church 850 Washington St. Braintree. Burial is at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
