Margaret Agnes (Cummings) Rice

Margaret Agnes (Cummings) Rice of Quincy passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at age 99. Raised and educated in Braintree, she lived all her life in the South Shore area. She was the owner of the Village Sub Shop in Kingston which she ran from 1978 to 1991. The beloved wife of the late Francis Patrick Rice, Margaret was the loving mother of Myrna Crispo and Mary Lou Crispo of Quincy and the late Mary Lea Urbanus; dear sister of Dorothea Griffin of Hanover, Katherine Wheeler of Whitman and Genevieve Paulding of Plymouth. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and was predeceased by her sisters, Audrey, Norma, Barbara and Agnes; and her brothers, Charles, Richard and Edward.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Saturday, February 10th from 8:30 to 10:30AM at the Dennis Sweeny Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00AM at Holy Trinity Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1017 Sea St.. Quincy. Burial is at Pine Hill Cemetery.
