Rose Marie (Sandonato) Booth of Quincy passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011. Born in Quincy where she was raised and educated, she lived here most of her life. A Quincy High School graduate, class of 1957, Rose Marie also graduated from Quincy Junior College, then worked as a secretary at the So. Shore Rehab. Center in Squantum, as an executive secretary for Schuster Labs in Quincy for many years, and for more than 15 years for SH&E Airline Consultants in Cambridge before retiring in 2008. For 6 years she was a member of the US Army Reserves, 327 Medical Clearing Company of Brockton. A very caring, family-oriented person, Rose Marie enjoyed writing poetry. Rose Marie was the loving sister of James Sandonato and his wife Barbara of Weymouth and Maryann McMahon and her late husband William F. of Quincy, dear aunt of William, Stephen, John, Paula, Joanne, Lynne and Sharon and is also survived by 12 grandnieces and grandnephews. She was pre-deceased by her Godchild, Acacia Rizzo earlier this year. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, August 9 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Wednesday there will be a Funeral Service in the funeral home at 11:00am. Burial will be at Village Cemetery, Weymouth. Donations in Rose Marie’s memory may be made to Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang, 555 Long Wharf Dr., New Haven, CT 06511 for chronically ill children. |
