David A. Kaplan

David A. Kaplan of Quincy passed away with his family at his side on Friday, February 23, 2018 at age 56. Raised and educated in Boston, he lived most of his life in Quincy and worked as a rigger for the International Association of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), Local #11 and Bill Kenney Productions in Chelmsford.

The beloved son of Lorraine (Nicotera) Kaplan of Quincy and the late Alvin Kaplan, David was the loving father of Dylan Mello of New Bedford, Chelsie Kaplan of Whitman and David Kaplan, Jr., Kameron Kaplan and Nicholas Kaplan, all of Quincy; grandfather of Caydence Mello and Alan Kaplan; husband of Jennifer (Fiorenza) Kaplan; dear brother of Wendy Whalen of Quincy, Rhonda Linscott of Weymouth, Tracy Kaplan Van Tassell of Quincy, Lorry Miner of Quincy and the late Paul Kaplan; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Sunday, March 4 from 2:00 to 6:00PM, concluding with a Memorial Service, at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center.
