Joseph J. Ferrara

Joseph J. “Hollywood Joe” Ferrara passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at age 32. A 20-year resident of Quincy, he graduated from Quincy High and played for the Point Panthers. He was formerly of South Boston and worked as an auto mechanic. The beloved son of Kelli M. Ferrara and Walter S. Cathcart of Quincy, Joe was the loving Dad of Julianna, Jocelyn, Victoria and Gianna Ferrara and Jason Walsh; dear grandson of Frank and Patricia Cardella of So. Boston; loving brother of Kaitlyn Ferrara, and Kevin Ferrara, both of Quincy and Kimberly Cathcart of Hyde Park; step-brother of Scott, Chris, Michael and Timothy Cathcart, Stacey O’Connor of Dorchester, Tiffany O’Connor of Weymouth, Summer Joyce of So. Boston and Colin and Austin Goyett; son of John Joyce and step-son of Tisha Goyett of Quincy; and is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Thursday, April 12th from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Friday there will be a Funeral Service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00AM. Cremation will follow.
