Robert J. Powers

Robert J. Powers of Weymouth passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at age 82. Born in Boston where he was raised and educated, he lived in Quincy for many years and worked as a painter. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and in his younger years enjoyed bowling and softball. The beloved husband of the late Martha E. (DeLisle) Powers, Bob was the loving father of Helen M. Johnstone Glennon and her husband Frederick of Mineral Bluff, GA, Cheryl A. Fitzgerald and her husband Thomas of Winthrop, Martha E. Sorensen and her husband John of Templeton, Joseph A. Powers and his wife Laurie of Holbrook, Robert W. Powers and his wife Mary of North Fort Myers, FL, Stephen M. Powers and his wife Nicole of Abington and the late Deborah J. DeLisle Powers; and is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Wednesday, May 9th from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Thursday there will be a Funeral Service at 10:00AM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial is at Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Quincy.
