Verne L. Blackwell

Verne L. Blackwell died peacefully in his home in Laconia, New Hampshire on October 7, 2018 at the age of 83.

Verne was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend to so many. Verne loved boating on Lake Winnipesaukee with his family and friends, skiing with his children and traveling. His favorite way to spend a day was driving through the White Mountains in his little white convertible or sitting at the picnic table at Mountain View Yacht Club.

Verne was born on November 12, 1934 to his parents Wilbur and Charlotte Blackwell. Verne was the youngest of four children, proceeded in death by his brothers Bill and Leon and his sister Marilyn. Verne is survived by his three children Scott of Weymouth, MA, Christine of Orlando, FL and Lisa Blackwell-Oresman of Naples, FL.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 Saturday, October 27 at Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home: 74 Elm Street, Quincy, MA. A reception is to follow at Stockholders Restaurant: 1073 Main Street, Weymouth MA. All are welcome to attend and celebrate with us the life of Verne Blackwell.
