Ruth A. (Lunny ) Guertin

It is with great sadness that the family of Ruth A. (Lunny) Guertin of Quincy announces her passing peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2018, at the age of 95. Born in Montreal, Canada, she settled in Quincy in 1960, where she and her husband, the late Jean Paul Guertin, raised their family. She worked for many years at the Stop & Shop Corporate Headquarters. An excellent cook, her family was the most important part of her life. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her children Marie Cantelli of Mission Viejo, CA, Joanne Rice, Jean Pierre Guertin and James Guertin, all of Quincy and Violet Guertin of Sebago, ME; Ruth will also be dearly remembered by her seven grandchildren, Kristie, Karrie, Nicholas, Lisa, Ashley, Harold Jr. and Alan; and by her great-grandchildren Marisa, Tony, Brandon (in the military, NC) and a great great-granddaughter Meadow. She is also mourned by her brothers and sisters, Margaret, Donald, John, Sheila, and Joe and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 20th at St. Mary’s Church 115 Crescent St. West Quincy. Burial is at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
