Patrick J. Kenny

Patrick Joseph Kenny died peacefully on Monday, March 30th at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston surrounded by the family he loved. Patrick was born on January 20, 1945 and grew up in Quincy. He was the beloved son of the late Bridget (McLaughlin) and Patrick Kenny. He was the devoted and beloved husband of Nancy (O’Neill) Kenny, the devoted and beloved father of Lauren and Julie Kenny, all of Quincy. He was a graduate of Boston College High School, Boston College and Harvard Law School and had a long career as an attorney before retiring. Patrick was a good man with a gentle and kind spirit. He loved life and took pleasure in being with his family, reading a good book, watching a sporting event (preferably the Patriots) and cooking a tasty meal for himself and his wife. He will be sorely missed.
On Friday April 3rd Patrick’s family will gather at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home for a viewing and prayers followed by a graveside prayer service at Mt Wollaston Cemetery. A Memorial Mass in honor of Patrick will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Processing Center, PO Box 1510, Ranson, WV 25438-9902
