Abbie Marie (Garrity) Sines of Quincy passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at age 85. A longtime Houghs Neck resident, she worked as a telephone operator for NE Telephone and made wedding cakes for caterers. An avid gardener, Abbie received the Houghs Neck Neighbor of the Year Award and was a member of the Houghs Neck Garden Club, the Telephone Pioneers and the Catholic Daughters at Most Blessed Sacrament Church where she also sang. Her greatest joy in life was raising and enjoying her children and grandchildren.

The beloved wife of the late Frank E. Sines, Jr., Abbie was the loving mother of Phillip Sines and his wife Colleen of Martinez, GA, Frank Sines of Quincy, Patricia Sines of Quincy, Yvonne Primavera and her husband James of Plymouth, Steven Sines and his wife Dorothy of Presque Isle, ME, Thomas Sines of Quincy, Martin Sines and his wife Sandra of Pembroke, Janet Shea and her husband Joseph of Hanson and Ann Marie Conti and her husband Robert of Plympton; dear grandmother of Taylor, Parker, Kymberlee, Ian, Michael, Amy, Bobby, Christopher, Adam, Amanda, Corey and Emily and great-grandmother of Isaac, Austin and Nicholas.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 28 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Wednesday, there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at Holy Trinity Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1017 Sea St. Quincy. Burial is at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
