Obituaries

Agnes M. (Fitzgerald) Fraser, a resident of Marina Bay Nursing Home, Quincy, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at age 94. Born in CT, the daughter of the late William and Gertrude Fitzgerald, she was raised and educated in Weymouth where she lived most of her life, and moved to Pagnano Towers in Quincy in 2000. Agnes graduated from Sacred Heart High School and Fisher College and was a former employee of the Quincy District Court. The beloved wife of the late John M. Fraser, she was the loving mother of Mary “Marie” Sophis of Quincy, the late John G. Fraser of FL and Virginia “Ginger” Fraser of FL. She is survived by her devoted granddaughters, Sharon Bowers and her husband Todd of FL and Tina Riley and her husband David of Quincy. She was very proud of her four great-grandchildren, Ashley and Zachary Bowers of FL and Brandon and Kaylee Riley of Quincy. Agnes was the sister of Sr. Eunice Fitzgerald, CSJ of Brockton and the late Rev. William Fitzgerald, SJ of Weston and Ann D. McDonald of Weymouth and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 22 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Monday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at St. Agatha Church 432 Adams St., Milton. Cremation will follow.
