Alice May (Tower) Brichta 93, passed away on February 5th at John Adam’s Nursing Home under the care of Compassionate Care Hospice. Born and raised in Dorchester, where she married the late Edward C. Brichta Jr.. Alice was a retiree of Quincy City Hospital where she worked for several years as an aide. After retiring she volunteered with Services for the Blind. She loved knitting, sewing, country music and doing puzzles. She was an avid Boston sports fan.

Alice is survived by daughter Deborah Brichta Amaral and her husband Dennis of North Port, Florida, granddaughter Charlene Amaral Menje and her husband Jaramie with great granddaughter Caitlin Menje of Bozrah, CT Sister Judith Johnson and spouse David from Middleboro, MA; nieces Dotti Haddix Farnsworth and her spouse Larry from Quincy, MA. Jennifer Johnson Sidelinger and her spouse Andrew from Middleboro, MA; nephews Robert Haddix with spouse Ethel from Rockport, MA. David Haddix and spouse Fran from Weymouth, MA. and David Johnson from Wareham, MA. Also several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Monday, February 18 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Tuesday there will be a Funeral Service at 11:00AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial is at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
