Angelo Anthony Marino 91 of Quincy MA passed away of complications from pneumonia on July 27 at St Elizabeth’s hospital in Brighton. Angelo grew up in Wakefield Massachusetts and met his wife Irene Osterbrink in Osnabruck, Germany where he was stationed as a member of the US Air Force. The two were married in the US and made their home in South Boston. Angelo worked at the Boston Gear Works in Quincy until his early retirement at the age of 55. After the death of his wife Irene from cancer in 1976 he moved to Quincy. He became a Eucharistic minister bringing communion to shut-ins and even at times praying the rosary over the phone with those who just needed a prayer companion. He loved spending time with his friends and enjoying his favorite pastimes- playing pool and bowling. In 2017 Angelo moved to the Hancock Park Nursing Home where his infectious smile and good nature made him a favorite with nurses and residents. He was dearly loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his daughter Mary Ann Marino of Norwood MA and his son Peter Marino of Harwich MA.

On Wednesday, August 1st, family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Theresa’s Church 2078 Centre St, West Roxbury. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
