Obituaries

Ann Marie (Hartigan) Collins of Quincy passed away at Quincy Medical Center on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at age 54. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Quincy, where she lived most of her life. Ann Marie worked at Yankee Candle in Braintree, but her greatest enjoyment was found in her family.

The beloved wife of James A. S. Collins, she was the loving mother of James M. S. Collins, Meaghan Elizabeth Collins and Lindsay Marie Collins, all of Quincy, dear sister of David F. and Patrick V. Hartigan, both of Quincy and Mary Elizabeth Holbrook of Whitman and is also survived by her nephews Daniel Mark and Matthew Gordon Holbrook and her niece Catherine Margaret Holbrook, all of Whitman and Daniel Gregory Collins of Weymouth. Ann Marie was the daughter of the late David and Margaret (Joyce) Hartigan.

Visiting hours will be held at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center on Sunday, January 17 from 2:00 to 8:00pm. Family and friends are invited. On Monday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Mary’s Church, W. Quincy at 10:00am. Burial is private.
