Anna Marie Frenning of Quincy passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017. Born and raised in Boston, she later resided in Quincy. The daughter of the late Carl J. and Elizabeth G. (Lawler) Frenning, she was the sister and sister-in-law of the late Carl J. and Dorothy M. Frenning. Anna leaves one nephew, Carl of South Hero, VT; one niece, Dorothy of Assonet, MA; devoted friend, Marie Keeler, and many other devoted friends.

Anna was employed by New England Telephone for 45 years, followed by 21 years at a private law firm. Her passion for the piano brought joy to the many Quincy residents of her housing complex where she served as Music Director for annual senior productions. In addition, Anna brought humor and happiness into the lives of the senior citizens who resided at 1000 Southern Artery by hosting Friday night sing-a-longs which they loved. Some of Anna’s happiest days were spent at 1000 Southern Artery. Anna also was a professional pianist at many establishments on Cape Cod.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 23rd at Boston’s Basilica, Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church), 1545 Tremont Street, Boston. Prior to the Mass, there will be a visitation starting at 9:00AM. Burial is at New Calvary Cemetery.
