Anna R. (Demaggio) Rando of Quincy passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 2, 2017 in Fort Myers, FL where she spent the last 3 years of her life with her beloved husband, Ed. Born on Jan. 22, 1937 in Quincy to the late Joseph and Lena Demaggio, Anna was a lifelong resident of Quincy, and graduated in 1954 from Quincy High School. Anna and Ed were married on Oct. 20, 1957 and were happily married for 60 years. She retired from National Fire Protection Agency, where she was a secretary to the Marketing Manager for 17 years. Anna passionately loved to ballroom dance, travel, and take cruises with her husband and family, and of course was a big Red Sox and Patriots fan. She loved cooking and entertaining, always being surrounded by family and many dear friends. A lively, vibrant woman, she lived life to the fullest. Loved by all who knew her, she will be deeply and forever missed.

Anna is survived by her loving husband Edward V. Rando, a retired Quincy firefighter; 2 daughters, Cheryl A. (Rando) Brown married to Curtis Brown, of Valparaiso, IN, and Donna M. Rando-Drake of Cape Coral, FL; her grandchildren, Stephen and Colleen Brown, Michael Brown, Peter Brown, and Stephen Drake II. She was the dear sister of Margaret (Demaggio) Fantucchio of Pinellas Park, FL, John Demaggio of Quincy, the late Gene and Arthur Demaggio, Josephine Carnali and Frances Fernandez; and is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Friday, November 10 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. On Saturday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. Mary’s Church 115 Crescent St. W. Quincy. Burial is at Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Quincy.
