Anne M. (Powell) O’Connell of Quincy, originally from So. Boston, passed away on Tuesday May 6, 2014 at the age of 90. A homemaker, she was a WWII Veteran US Marine Corps. The beloved wife of the late Arthur J. O’Connell, Anne was the loving mother of Arthur J. O’Connell and his wife Susan of Quincy, Gerald G. O’Connell and his wife Paula of Easton, Denis C. O’Connell of Hanson and Anne Marie Peachey and her husband David of Raynham; dear grandmother of Susie O’Connell-Kingham, Linda O’Connell-Savage, Kathleen, Matthew, Daniel, Denis, Jacob and Dylan O’Connell and Kayla Peachey; great-grandmother of five; beloved sister of Rita N. Murray of Chelmsford, and the late Mary T. Sullivan, Michael J. Powell, Josephine B. Connolly, John V. Powell, Helen V. Kepple and Theresa A. Powell; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, May 15 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy Center. Family and friends are invited. On Friday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Burial with Military Honors is at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery.
