Obituaries

Anthony A. Leone of Braintree passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022 at the age of 80. Born, raised, and educated in Quincy, son of the late Joseph and Antonetta. Anthony worked as a surveyor for Norfolk County Engineering, and he also worked as a licensed barber for a time.

Anthony was the beloved husband of Rita R. Leone; loving father of Gina Hamparian and her husband Derek of Weymouth, Joseph Leone and his wife Julia of Hanover; devoted grandfather of Ashley, Erin, Jake, and A.J.; dear brother of Louise Zaccari of Weymouth, Rita Nicholson of Braintree, and Julie Payne of Quincy, and the late Mary Orlandino and Carmela “Millie” Howell. Anthony is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday, July 7th from 8:30AM-9:30AM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm St., Quincy Center. At 10:00AM, there will be a Mass at St. Joseph Church, in Quincy. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, in Randolph.
