Obituaries

Barbara Perry of Quincy passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at age 71. Originally from South Boston, she lived in Quincy for 37 years. She worked for many years as  a CNA at Elihu White Nursing Home and Hancock Park. For the past 6 years she competed in the Quincy Senior Olympics, the last year with stage 4 cancer, and was a member of the Jack Russell Terrier Association.

The daughter of the late Joseph “Joker”  and Mary “Mazie” (Carter) Perry, Barbara was the loving mother of Paul Perry of Quincy and Joseph Winchell of No. Attleboro and her Jack Russell, “Eddie”; dear sister of Margaret “Peggy” Jones  of Quincy, Betty Toland and her husband Teddy of Naples. FL., Debbie Perry of Braintree, Joseph Perry of RI, James Perry of So. Boston and the late Joanie Allen, Cathy Empey and Donna Sapienza-Ardolino, sister-in-law of Steve Allen and the late Edward Ardolino; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her dear friend Grace Raymondi of Quincy.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Wednesday August 3 from 9:00 to 11:00AM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30AM at St. John the Baptist Church 44 School St. Quincy. Burial is at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
