Barbara S. (Blake) Nigro of North Weymouth passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at age 77.  Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Boston and Quincy. A homemaker, she loved cooking, animals and spoiling her grandchildren. The loving wife of the late Thomas A. Nigro, Sr. QPD, Barbara was the beloved mother of Thomas A. Nigro, Jr. and his wife Dawn of North Weymouth Linda M. Clark and her husband Daniel of Halifax and Brian M. Nigro and his wife Cindy of Weymouth; dear grandmother of Thomas A. Nigro III,Leah Nigro Throne, Brian C. Nigro, Joseph M. Nigro, Sarah C. Nigro, Jonathan B. Nigro, Michael A. Nigro, Daniel T. Clark, Jr., Marissa M. Clark, Zachary T. Clark and the late Melissa D. Nigro and Bianca M. Nigro; great-grandmother of Elle, Caroline, Justin, Natalie and Briana. One of 14 children, Barbara was the beloved sister of Joan Conti, Thomas Blake, James Blake, Patty Miller, Robert Blake, Donna DiSalvio, John Blake, Kathleen Tusi, Carol McArthur, Debbie Pomar, Elaine Barer and the late Mary Sturgent and Paul Blake and is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her dog Honey.

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Wednesday, February 22 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home 74 Elm St. Quincy. On Thursday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 8:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth Landing. Burial at Village Cemetery in Weymouth is at a later date.
