Share your Memorial with Family & Friends
My deepest sympathy and condolences to Chickie’s family and friends. I pray that you all find courage, strength and peace through this difficult time. I will miss my weekly visits and heartfelt chats with my friend. I have solace in knowing that she is now in heaven, pain free and having those chats with Jesus. “And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.” ~ Ecclesiastes 12:7

To Chickies beloved family, Thank you for sharing your wonderful Mom & Nana. Chickie eyes would twinkle when talking about her beloved family. We enjoyed many visits together. I was blessed to have befriended Chickie thru our mutual friend Rose at 1000 SA. Steve from her old law firm job said it so perfect how honest & loving Chickie was to all who knew her. Our lives where changed for the better because of her unconditional love & great advice. Chickie is at peace and is smiling from heaven like the angel is and always was. Her best advice to me was "I AM truly blessed because every thing I am today is because of my parents influence that guided me to help others & volunteer. When you are blessed pass on that blessing to others". The world is truly a much better place because of her selfless love and commitement towards others well being!. I'll be sure to keep passing on her great advice & keep moving the blessings forward. I love you my friend. Yours truly, Caroline Reardon

I circulated this to everyone in Brown Rudnick's Boston Office: It is with great sadness that I must report that Bernice "Chickie" Abdallah, long time LEA (from before the position was called that) and docket administrator at Brown Rudnick, passed away last week after a lengthy illness. Chickie was with the firm for over 25 years, starting in 1982, as my secretary and spending the last few years as a docket administrator. She was almost as devoted to the firm as she was to her family and community activities. I owe a deep debt of gratitude to Chickie. She not only helped to train me and put me in my place when I was a young lawyer, but through her example and her never-ending stream of advice (both solicited and unsolicited), she provided me with valuable life lessons. Not only did she help me produce documents, but she also freely volunteered her opinions (which I always heeded) on what was going in on my life outside the office. She was always candid and totally open. She was there when I decided to get married and when my children was born and I thought of her as part of my family. For those of us who knew her, she was one of a kind who will not soon be forgotten. Here are details of Chickie's remembrance and a link to her obituary. Family and friends are invited to visiting hours which will be held on Thursday, April 25 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Dennis Sweeney Funeral Home, 74 Elm Street, Quincy Center. On Friday there will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church 550 Washington Street, Quincy. Burial is at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in Chickie’s memory may be made to St. Joseph Building Fund 550 Washington St. Quincy MA 02169 https://dennissweeneyonelm.com/obituaries/bernice-h-abdallah/920/ Steven B. To Chickie's beloved family~~ my prayers for you all during this time of your loss and sorrow. You grieve hard because you loved hard. Chickie was so proud of her family and YOU were her #1 topic of conversation through my years of knowing her as an online friend and then having the blessing to traveling to Boston and meeting up with her for a day in your wonderful part of the country of which she was so proud! May you find God's love, peace, grace and comfort during this time as Chickie celebrates Easter with our Risen Savior, JESUS CHRIST, in His glorious Heaven. Love and prayers.
